On my D19, there are three levers to the left of the seat. The two levers on the left side operate the hydraulic remotes. The lever immediately to the left of the seat operate the 3 point lift arms. There is a lever on the left of the steering column which operates the traction booster. I don't mess around with the traction booster. The lift arms on my D19 never want to go down unless there is some weight on them. You might need to have someone push them down while you operate the lever.
