Dont mess with things | One more story and I will go to work. I was about 6 years old setting in the seat of an old international tractor, what year and size I don't really know. Well pops is putting on new plow shears? I think that is the right name, beings I'm not really much of a farmer. Picture this though, there is a trip rope tied to one of the fenders, a 6 year old hoodlum sitting real close to the rope and Pops hands are under the plow tightening up the shear bolts. Yes I did! I accidentally pulled the rope, and yes it tripped and yes it pinned both of pops hands into the dirt. But this time he couldn't hurt me because he couldn't get his hands out from under the plow. I was too little to raise it by myself so I had to get my mother to raise it off pops hands. Thank god it didn't hurt his hands or fingers because other wise I wouldn't be here writing this story. Chances are I probably caused him a few more grey hairs. What do ya think? Don Phipps, Wa, entered 2007-02-24 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
