Lawn Sale | We were driving down road about five miles from our house when we saw a lawn sale with a allis G hooked to home made trailor for sale. Having grown up on potato farm and my wife having worked for a Allis dealer, we stoped. not that I wanted an Allice I had grew up with MM, olivers Cockshutts, But again I loved this funny looking tractor. This started our tractor collection,There was a black board that we was to write our name and offer on,there were several offers on it. we happened to have a check with us so we went over to talk to the owner. After finding out he purchased tractor from dealer my fife had worked for new in 1953 for 1200 and was well keep I told him we would give him cost new which was lower than offers he had, but he liked us, when we told him we would restor, and show tractor he sold it to us. He said he wanted a good home for it and knew we woulden,t skid logs or leave it outside. We have now had this tractor five years and people love to see it as we use it for show and parades. don lauger, ny, entered 2004-12-07 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
